Identify the Root Causes

We perform a comprehensive, full-body evaluation focused around mobility, strength and performance capacity. Your shoulder pain is not a broken airplane wing, and your knee pain is not a flat tire on a car. They are not a simple part that can be replaced. Pain is often multi-factorial. The human body is strong, complex and adaptable and this is why we need to look at the full picture. 

At Ascent, we believe the best clinicians are constantly re-assessing, tracking progress, and modifying the plan as necessary. Every body is unique, and every individual responds differently. 

2. Rebuild

Improve symptoms while keeping you active

If your doctor ever told you that lifting a barbell was wrecking your back or your shoulders, or that running was destroying your knees, keep reading! The problem is almost never the exercise. More often, it is trying to do too much, too quickly, with inadequate recovery. Quitting the activities you love is never the solution. We want to keep all of our patients ACTIVE, HEALTHY, and doing the things THEY LOVE. 

Our job is to find solutions to help you manage and improve your pain, but our answer will NEVER be "Well if it hurts, don't do that."

3. Perform

A custom plan to reach YOUR goals

Have you been to insurance-based physical therapy before and they had you doing the same 3-4 exercises for 3 sets of 10 reps for weeks at a time? Then you look around and notice everyone else is doing the exact same thing as you? At Ascent, we're tossing the cookie cutter in the trash. Each of our patients will be provided a fully individualized and comprehensive exercise program, focused around improving their weaknesses, maximizing their strengths, and building towards their performance goals. 

These programs are re-assessed and updated each visit to ensure you are making consistent progress towards your goals.
