About Ascent
About the Owner:
The Start of Ascent:
Alex McMeekin PT, DPT moved to Billings with his wife, Jordie, in July 2021 from Charleston, SC. Alex graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences in 2016 and then received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2020.
Alex believes in the mantra: "Everyone is an Athlete". Everyone has the potential to improve, recover and reach their goals. They just need the right plan to get them there.
When he is not seeing patients, Alex spends his free time with his wife and two young sons. He enjoys powerlifting, hiking, soccer, and college football (Go Tigers). Alex and Jordie have a personal goal to visit every U.S. National Park and have been to 24 so far!
Alex started Ascent Physical Therapy and Human Performance because he was not satisified with the current level of Physical Therapy being offered in Billings. He knew there were active, motivated individuals who needed a PT that would meet them where they were at and work tirelessly to help them reach their rehab and fitness goals.
Alex's goal for Ascent is to raise the standard and expectation for what PT should be. The same higher level of care and attention, previously reserved for the competitive athlete, but is now available to the recreationalists, the parents, the newcomers to fitness, and the weekend warriors.
Alex hopes that in the process of starting and growing a business, he can also help to build and encourage a community of active, motivated athletes who are confident in their bodies, their health, and advocating for the services they deserve.
